Statewide Mutual
Insurance Protection through membership strength.
Welcome to Statewide Mutual
Statewide Mutual is a NSW Local Government mutual which commenced operation on 31 December 1993. It provides cover to Member Councils on:
1) Assets under a Property Mutual, 2) Liability under a Mutual Liability Scheme, and 3) Fidelity Guarantee.
The Scheme is not insurance. Rather it is a “self insurance mutual” which is backed by reinsurance placed through the local and London markets.
If you would like to have more information on any of the covers provided by Statewide Mutual, please contact the Executive Officer or click on the following link. <More info>.
Continuous Improvement Pathway2012
Statewide Mutual is proud to launch the new Continuous Improvement Pathway (CIP).
The Statewide Public Liability Self-Audit and Verification Process have been the primary method of benchmarking the risk management performance of member Councils. With the introduction of AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 and an increased focus on developing and implementing integrated risk management systems, the Board of Statewide Mutual resolved to introduce a new programme that focuses on the continuous improvement of member Councils’ risk management systems.
The Continuous Improvement Pathway (CIP) offers a framework that Councils can use to assess their progress in developing effective risk management systems. Where the organisation can best focus its efforts towards achieving its continuous improvement objectives will also be identified. For more information please log in.
